Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita Initial Thoughts

Jinrui wa Suitai Shimashita (trans: Humanity is going down) A rather lighted approach to the post-apocalyptic scenario, where little small fairies are the dominant species on Earth. The anime revolves around the perspective of Watashi, the official ambassador/go-between of her village with the very gentle fairy race. In the first two episodes, we're introduced to the world, where Watashi is charged with investigating some of the strange phenomena around the village, among her more casual village chores.

Initial Impression: This anime is #2 on my list of the more intriguing anime that I've seen so far this season. It's creativity and humor are both very distinct and fresh. The main character's internal monologues and quips based on what she sees are great. There are so many crazy things happening here that I was just taken aback (i.e. intelligent skinned chickens and subtitle glasses). It's pretty awesome.

Comparisons with other recent anime: I feel that this one far surpasses any off-the-wall anime of recent past.
