Movie Snippet: The Social Network

The Social Network (2010, Jesse Eisenberg, Andrew Garfield): Thumbs Up.

I don't use Facebook nor am I interested in using it, but I heard some decent things about this movie, so of course, I thought I was gonna hate it. Turns out, it's cool like a billion dollars. The movie is nicely paced, with a bit of time shifting to keep the audience on its toes, and keeps on churning surprises along the way.

I don't know how much of the movie is fact or fiction, but it's hard not to feel bad for all the people that got screwed along the way. However, even though they got screwed, they're still millionaires if that's any consolation. In that way, it's also inspiring on a few different levels, and kind of makes me want to experience the start-up life first hand.
