The end of some great series this season ...

So my favorite three anime of this year - Nisemonogatari, Chihayafuru, and Daily Lives of High School Boys - have all ended (for now). These three anime acted as the pillars of my viewing schedule, everything else was just filler until those days when new episodes for those series came out. I don't know if I'll have the motivation to watch anything else at all now.

Ok, so that was obviously a lie, but fact remains that for once in a very long time, there will be extremely few carryovers from season to season that I actually enjoy watching. Moretsu Pirates is ok, but Aquarion Evol is just garbage. Everything else this side of Naruto, One Piece, and Fairy Tail will probably be new to me.

And as I'm sure you've all heard by now, the other of my "Big Four" has gone on hiatus: Bleach (after 366 episodes). Membership to my "Bigs" basically consists of staying in my weekly lineup for over 2 years. What a shame, but I look forward to the final arc in the future. And not so big, but still broke the one year mark, Beelzebub has also gone on hiatus, presumably because it's been running over the manga material on a regular basis. Just another hit to my shrinking stable of consistently enjoyable shows.

Maybe just as well, since I want to concentrate more on killing my video game backlog this year (and Diablo III). I also want to watch more movies too. Who knows. I haven't watched Fate/Zero yet, but maybe Fate/Zero part II will be something to look forward to?

I wonder what anime everyone else will be watching out for. I hope it'll be as pleasant a surprise as Chihaya was.
