E3 Day One: Microsoft Press Conference

Today was the Microsoft Press Conference at E3, so naturally the top stories will be dominated by them. That out of the way, here's a summary of the top things of note that happened today at this year's E3 expo. Not a complete list by any means, since I've excluded the bleh stuff.

XBOX 360
Project Natal (Microsoft's version of motion control with audio/visual enhancements). See Milo demo.
Facebook and Twitter integration on XBOX live.

Big game announcements:
Metal Gear Solid Rising announced. ("lightning bolt action" XBOX 360)
Left 4 Dead 2 announced. (PC & XBOX 360)
Crackdown 2 announced. (XBOX 360)
Splinter Cell Conviction announced. (XBOX 360)
Starcraft 2 targeted for "end of the year" 2009. (PC)
Crysis 2 announced. (PC & XBOX 360 & PS3)
Red Steel 2 will come with Wii Motion Plus add-on. (Wii)

My take:
Project Natal looks cool, but so does every other new tech demo. I would wait for real gaming applications before passing judgement.
All signs point to Metal Gear Solid Rising being multiplatform.
After logging 160 hours of Left 4 Dead, I don't think I'll play L4D2 for the sake of my health.
Hadn't cared for Splinter Cell franchise for at least half a decade.
Hopefully Red Steel 2 is much better game than the first one.
Finally, Starcraft 2 target, haha.
